| OVERLAND HIGH SCHOOL BAND & COLOR GUARD |
Bingo |
As its primary fundraiser, OHSBPA staffs and runs bingo sessions at the Turn of the Century bingo hall, which is in the shopping center on the west side of Havana at Jewell. There are four Saturday night sessions per month. The Saturday sessions cover two rounds of bingo games from 5:30pm-2:00am. There are four teams defined, each of which is assigned to a particular Saturday session each month. (Download the bingo schedule with the link on the left.) Students must be 14 years old. Working the sessions helps keep the band programs alive. Without the funds provided by bingo, it would not be possible to have the extra-curricular programs. Staffing each session requires someone trained to be the session manager, two people to handle the cash reconciliation for sales from the Pull-Tabs (i.e. ‘pickle-bar’), a parent to manage the pickle bar, and students to sell pickles, sell specials, sell progressive bingo game, sell progressive pull tabs, help setup, help take down and help clean up between the sessions. Contact Mr. LaGuardia or Susan Barton for more information. | ||
