OVERLAND HIGH SCHOOL BAND & COLOR GUARD

The OHSBPA Executive Board consists of the offices of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.

The officers are elected by the parents and students during the May OHSBPA meeting. The board meets with the committee chairs each month, prior to the parent meeting, to discuss topics from all of the committees. In addition, the meeting reviews the budget and fiscal state of the organization, as well as an activities that are being coordinated by the board on behalf of the band.

The President is responsible for overall planning and coordination across the board and committe members, and for approving expense authorizations for the other board members and the committee chairs.

The Vice President is responsible for identifying, researching, and proceeding with board approved fund raising activities.

The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining an accurate and understandable accounting of the monies that are received and paid out on behalf of the executive board. The Treasurer makes payments for approved expenses and submits the required tax documentation.

The Secretary is responsible for overall communication to the students, parents, staff, board members and committee chairs. Website, email, postal mail and phone calls are included in those responsibilities.
