| OVERLAND HIGH SCHOOL BAND & COLOR GUARD |
Food |
The committe chair for FOOD is responsible for determining how best to feed the band students during the various practices, performances and competitions throughout the school year. Sometimes the food consists of snacks and beverages prior to boarding an early morning bus, sack lunches that are eaten on the bus en route from one event to another, snacks during a long day of competition, lunches or dinners that may consist of a hot meal, beverages and a dessert. The budget planning activity determines an amount of money that the food committe has to work with. There is a propane gas grill, two very large restaraunt style pots along with propane stands that can be used to heat meals and water. The food and related equipment and coolers is normally transported to the events in the truck that is used to transport the instruments and props. The food committee is always in need of people who can provide meal items and can help with the setup, distribution and cleanup at the events. |
